Hi! I used to live in San Francisco and I liked your band a lot. I wore out my wannabe texans cassette tapes. I did a search online a couple of years ago to see if I could find anything and there was nothing except a few fliers. I'm really glad you did this blog and I will look forward to finding and refinding some of my favourite music.

wow. a friend tipped me off to this blog. How cool. You probably don't remember me, but...oh lord, it's too much to go into now. Suffice to say a lot of memories just came flooding back listening to the "ballad of the Wannabe Texans".

Keep posting please. At least one person will be reading!

I have made Wanna Be Texans album "Alcohol Is A Cheap Perfume" as the album of the month for June 2007 at Farces Wanna Mo radio Internet radio station:

That means 4 songs from Wannabe Texans in the 5 hour loop. That is as many as they let you put in at one time from an artist.

So, if you want to hear how the Wannabe Texans sound "in rotation" then tune in. There are some ads, but it is free to listen and sure to be some bands you haven't heard before. For example, my friend Meckley's band is in there and they had an album produced by Wally Sound in the late 90s. Surprizes abound.
